How can I keep my truck radio lost his memory?
Okay, driving a pickup truck to a business freight. Of course, no radios in the truck. What we (the drivers) do is build a box with speakers and a car radio mounted in it. There are banana plugs on the board to get the power. The only problem is that every time you close the truck radio, lose memmory (presets, level of volume, etc.). It could get a analog radio, but that is beside the point. I was thinking more along the lines of a secondary power source. Connecting a connector for a 9V battery cable memmory so when the truck is outside it is still valid memmory. Seeing that the radio does not work without this cable is connected to the power trucks would have to incorporate a diode of some sort so you do not fry the battery. What type of diode to be used and where I put in the circuit? I can not get the truck, so what we do has to be done in my radio box. Thanks for any information ….
I see why connecting a 9 volt battery cable is removed from memory when the radio power supply would not work. They sell connectors to connect a battery 9 volts through the cigarette lighter to supply power to the memory while you change the battery in a vehicle that memories are not lost in the functions different car, including radio memory, among others.
